MIXED MEDIA VISUAL ARTIST

The big picture.

That’s what I look for in life and in art. Seeing the bigger picture is an optimistic and open-minded approach of leading our day-to-day lives. When isolated, certain event in life might seem useless, or non-important but, when seeing it as part of a big picture, it begins to make sense.

For me, mixed media is the artistic equivalent of big picture thinking. Placing a single pin in a canvas might seem irrelevant, it might even get lost at simple sight. However, when observing hundreds or even thousands of pins in a canvas, arranged in patterns and shapes: the picture is completely different.

Mixed media art keeps the artist constantly seeking for new perspectives, new materials and new ways of combining those elements. This art form is a way of embracing differences between materials, the way they are used and the final look and feel of each; tissue paper and paint, photographs and fabrics, pins and threads, all different from each other but in sync through mixed media art. These artworks, not only make the artist think around the big picture and about diversity, but also promote this thinking in spectators. Think big. Think different.
